CVS Update.
Fix problem with EXTERNAL items reported on the list.

I have also activated some COMP-1 (AKA FLOAT-SHORT) and
COMP-2 (AKA FLOAT-LONG) stuff. This is NOT prime time.
Do NOT use it at all in any production stuff. I have put it in so
that people can start to hack it.
