Hi Roger, I can compile the same program using Micro Focus COBOL for UNIX V4.1 revision 030compiler in a HP-UX environment.

The compiler is reacting correctly.
In order for a comma or period to be treated as
a seperator, it must be followed by a space.
This is a normal Cobol rule.
