We need to fix that problem for 32-bit (possibly not only AIX !).

64-bit does not have this problem.

You can edit the open-cobol-0.xx/libcob/fileio.c (this fix will work on AIX but
I didn't check other platforms yet).

AFTER line
#define _LFS64_LARGEFILE        1

ADD the following line:
#define _LARGE_FILES            1

BEFORE the line
#include "common.h"

ADD the following lines:
#define fseek fseeko64
#define ftell ftello64

Build libcob, and enjoy.

My friends,

I used the parameter --with-lfs64 in OpenCobol ./configure, but not forget write sequential files greater then 2147483647 (32 bits limit).
  The environment is :
sslzora01 /usr/local/mysql/arquivos> ulimit -a
time(seconds)        unlimited
file(blocks)         unlimited
data(kbytes)         unlimited
stack(kbytes)        unlimited
memory(kbytes)       32768
coredump(blocks)     unlimited
