IMHO, the above instructions should be included in the FAQ at:

http://opencobol.add1tocobol.com/

and even a relevant note in the "Install Guide".

These two entries would have saved a lot of bandwidth, not to mention
yours, Vincent's, human's, and other's time. As for me, it was a
learning process that I enjoyed.
