hello
some time ago i modified jago to run as GUI together with gnugo.
with that you have all
commands of playascii, ie backward forward force, you can load
saved sgf games and continue etc...
there are of course problems:
it runs in linux and windows + cygwin. nobody has yet managed to run
it in windows (without cygwin), but i could tell you, if you are
interested, where the problems are

i have to modify gnugo as well. the last version i modified is now
quite old, but if you tell me, which version you want, i would modify it.
you can guess that i am somewhat disappointed that not many people
were interested in running that, so i try to encourage as many people
as possible. that also means that i would help you as much as i can
