There have been some discussions off-list about what level setting GNU
Go should use in the Olympiad. The hardware will be Pentium4 at 2.8
GHz with 512 MB RAM. Since I have the same processor, although on a
laptop, I've done some test runs which indicate that we shouldn't go
higher than level 12 on 19x19 but that level 15 should be fine on 9x9.

The basis for this is that replay of olympiad2003/aya_vs_gnugo.sgf
(19x19) takes 40 minutes (35 minutes CPU) on level 12 on my machine
and replay of olympiad2002/game2-9-gnugo-goint-0-1.sgf (the slowest
9x9 I found) takes 11 minutes on level 14, 17 minutes on level 15 and
28 minutes on level 16.

Jan, if you can read this in time, these are the levels I recommend
unless the timings on the Olympiad machine are significantly
different or it turns out during the games that we need to reduce the
level settings.
