Yes, fast computers do set a pace that people tend to follow, and
if that pace is fast people make more mistakes.

We just added a "snap move" functionality that will, without any
additional evaluation, make the pre-computed move in the look-
ahead sequence if the opponent responds as we expected. This
only happens at the highest level of the lookahead sequence. It
clearly alters the pace of the game.

will find that usually those playing at faster time settings will have
higher ranking, since their opponents will make a lot more blunders that
a computer can easiliy exploit.
