[gnugo-devel] Latest GNU Go—build fails

Dear sirs,

when I tried to build the latest version of GNU Go under Mac OS X, I got the 
following error:

> ./configure: line 2003: config.log: Permission denied
> ./configure: line 2013: config.log: Permission denied
> make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found.  Stop.

Trying again with ‚sudo ./configure; make‘, the process took on so far, but 
eventually I ran into another error:

> Making all in utils
> gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I..     -g -O2 -MT getopt.o -MD -MP -MF 
> .deps/getopt.Tpo -c -o getopt.o getopt.c
> error: unable to open output file 'getopt.o': 'Permission denied'
> 1 error generated.
> make[2]: *** [getopt.o] Error 1
> make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
> make: *** [all] Error 2

Any suggestions?
