Well... unless my GNUmed would alter my path dynamically, my path (from a 
terminal) is

        usr/local/bin:usr/bin:usr/games

and within

        usr/bin

I do have

        pdflatex (presumably from the package texlive-base-bin; is it a GNUmed 
dependency?)

therefore is this state consistent with the error?

does this mean to convert it from an unhandled exception, to a handled one?
