Perhaps you are hit by the problem that we recently lost
access to the salaam.homeunix.com domain which housed our
public database.

The URL for the database is now

        publicdb.gnumed.de

If you modify your config files (in .gnumed and
/etc/gnumed/) it may start working for you. Else you will
need to describe the exact problem you are having and the
symptoms you are seeing.
