I have a cursory suspicion that - while it may for some workflows indeed be useful to know "how much time there is left" *during the encounter* - this wish may also stem from reimbursement schemes ? There are minimum times for levels of care in some places. IOW, does it help the patient ? What I would personally want (my workflow) is a warning appearing when the waiting list (# of patients) stays above a given threshold for a certain time.
