None of the packages are required when running from CVS.

Because it is looking at this path:

        filename = ./home/jlu/.gnumed/gnumed.conf.gmCfg2.new.conf

Note the "." in front of the path. This . stems from a
misguided attempt to make the temp file a hidden file. IOW
you found a bug. I will check in a fix on Sunday.

NOT using a full path should help.

There shouldn't be but sometimes it appears as such. Feel
free to send me logs offlist if they are large.
