[Gnumed-devel] debian install gnumed-client 0.3.10-1 package overwrites ntp.conf |

When doing
apt-get install gnumed-client (3.10x)
I got a prompt for a decision on overwritng the ntp configuration
file. While ntp was not a part of my debian lenny (business iso
installation with tasksel as Desktop environment, Laptop Sql
database) an /etc/ntp.conf might have been created by my attempt to
select "Keep synchronized" in my Gnome desktop "Time & Date" panel at
which time it complained about the lack of ntp being installed. After
I installed gnumed-client and then returned to Time & Date I
discovered that the ability to keep synchronized had become enabled.
Can the gnumed-client .deb provide additional information to help the
installing user to know if it would be safe to overwrite an existing
ntp.conf file, or to suppress such a prompt by removing the choice
from the user and just overwriting the file? Or should a user be
warned to recheck if their system was no longer pointed to suitable
servers?
FYI I chose "D" in order to generate the output at bottom, and then
accepted to install the package maintainer's version.

Setting up ntp (1:4.2.4p4+dfsg-8) ...
Configuration file `/etc/ntp.conf'
==> File on system created by you or by a script.
==> File also in package provided by package maintainer.
What would you like to do about it ? Your options are:
Y or I : install the package maintainer's version
N or O : keep your currently-installed version
D : show the differences between the versions
Z : background this process to examine the situation
The default action is to keep your current version.
*** ntp.conf (Y/I/N/O/D/Z) [default=N] ?

Here was the output of selecting "D"
