It looks better then it is. The visual experience needs to be recoded 
manually. All the middleware (getting data from the backend) is reused from 
the existing code. Getting the data from the middleware into the desktop 
widgets needs to be written from scratch.

The wxpython code is very helpful. One can simply copy the layout and reuse 
large parts of the helper function.

So it is work to manually redo the visual aspect but many of the existing 
concepts can be reused.

Some of the underlying concepts like the GUI broker need to be implemented.

But this only makes sense if there is a use case.
