The way this placeholder

works, doesn't make that possible. You can, however, add the
placeholder
$<allergy_state>$
to make it explicit whether there are or there aren't any.
That placeholder does contain the "last_confirmed" date.

That can easily be done by modifying the LaTeX template and
adding .clin_when == .date to the above:
