I really would like to see this followed up. I have recently posted md5sums of 
the relevant downloads.

Can anyone else confirm that there is or is not a problem with the downloads ?

If there is doubt I will take down the downloads. I cannot find any problem so 
far. 

Any comment is appreciated.

I know that the downloads form heise.de are virus scanned before making 
available GNUmed. You might download from them.

Unfortunately they seem to only offer the tgz

However GNUmed downloads were scanned online and I did not find any problem.
