I doubt the current code will compile as-is on OpenStep, but if you
want to get it running on OpenStep starting with the current code would
be your best bet. There will likely be places where we are using new
API that you'll have to write replacements for, but that should be
easy.
The bigger problem is the NIB files -- the current ones won't be usable
on OpenStep and they've changed significantly from the NextStep
versions... You could redo them if you can look at the current ones,
but it would be a lot of work.
I'm not sure if OpenStep has an NSOutlineView. Monet uses this a lot.
Finally, actually playing the sound will be platform dependent. On Mac
OS X I use the CoreAudio APIs. GNUStep and OpenStep will require
something different. This code should be reasonably well decoupled
from the rest. Monet can also create sound files (without playing them
directly), so this would be enough to get started.
