OK -- good.

You need to open the Intonation and Intonation Parameters windows  
(under "Tools" in the menu at the top) and check "Intonation" in the  
Intonation Parameters window, plus your choice in the Intonation  
Control sub-panel of that menu.  Select all of those for a first  
shot.  You should then be able to synthesize with automatically  
applied intonation and see the resulting contour in the Intonation  
window.

You must have checked out the Monet manual.  I probably need to  
expand on that section. If you have other queries, specific or  
general, I would be more than happy to help some more.

Of course -- you had already told me that.  Sorry.  You might borrow  
a Mac just to try out that version as a model (or, even better,  
borrow a NeXT and you have the whole works!  You could even buy a  
NeXT from Blackhole Inc -- they are fairly inexpensive these days.   
The son of one of my RCAF flying buddies runs that outfit, by a  
strange coincidence).
