Hi!

NVIDIA dropped XShm support in their 19x.xx drivers.

TOM

Zitat von Riccardo Mottola <address@hidden>:

Hi,

when using the cairo backend, I can get many many of the warnings below:

2010-07-09 00:58:39.230 ProjectCenter[4694] Warning: shmget() failed: Cannot allocate memory. 2010-07-09 00:58:39.260 ProjectCenter[4694] Falling back to normal XImage: s (will be slower).

it often happens after having used gnustep a while or when loading bigger images in an NSImageView... I am not sure. Howver once it starts, then the display and reactivity decreases greatly.

Anybody else has seen those messages? Maybe you know how to fix ?

This is on FreeBSD 8.0 / x86-32, cairo 1.8.8 and a nvidia card (if it matters at all). Local display, not exported things.

RIccardo
