Using the wiki for higher-traffic news: fine.  Can we pull the news as
RSS?  That could open some interesting possibilities.

Using the wiki for the applications: not fine.  The wiki lists too
many unreleased applications.  This may be a more general problem with
GNUstep developers not releasing early/releasing often.

If the appdb is dead, let's use brochure content on the main site and
link to the wiki for a larger, less controlled index.

Will the wiki start linking back to the main site?

I agree with most of what you're saying here.  I do, as I'm sure everyone else does as well, have some ideas of how to make the site better.  In my opinion, we should try our best to streamline the whole web site "experience".  Right now, it's pretty much all over the place, which gives the impression of an unorganized project/product.

Let me know if there's any interest in this type of discussion, as I have, what I think are, some pretty good ideas (including upgrading the wiki software to a newer version, 1.5 is very old and as far as I know no longer supported).
