Perhaps without the feeding-back path it would become simpler.  gpsd
provides data from individual devices, 'aggregate_gpsd' combines it into a
new feed.  Keeping the protocol format.  Clients can then connect to
aggregate_gpsd instead, should they want to.

current state of the art.
