I am very, very wary of such built-in limits. When it comes to things like
this, one man's great idea tends to be aniother man's annoying
limitation that bit him unexpectedly in the ass. They also tend to violate
policy/mechanism separation.
On the other hand, if you want to add a feature that allows users to set
logging limits, I'd take that patch.
