I think something went wrong with my attempt to set a non-default shm
segment for testing.  Possibly I happened to pick a key that is in use 
by a service on your system.

I've changed that code to show the actual key rather than -1. Some
things to try:

1. Comment out the line in SConstruct that defines GPSD_SHM_KEY and test.

2. Keep the line, but change rhe key value to something else.
