Please do not use hex IDs in commit message. Someday the history
will move to a different DVCS, or the repo will need surgery that
invalidates some hash chains, and the SHA1 hashes will become
huge pains in the ass.
The better way to refer to a commit is by some combination of its
sumary line, its date, and its committer.
