Hi Gary, I have 2 queries: 1. About 3.19 porting issue When I ported libgpsd to 3.19 Version , I am not able to receive any of the data . Whether do we need to enable anything. I tried stand alone compilation of the source code for my platform (ARM64) using scons command , but I am getting ncurses issue. How to solve this ? 2. About Buffer issue >>Look at dynModel in UBX-CFG-NAV5. I am getting dynModel as 0 that is it is in portable model.
Do I have to change for better performance. End requirement of the
device is in automotive project. >>What sort of lag do you think you see? If I run my device for 40 min , I am getting lag of 5 min. If I increase the running time the lag is increasing. >>What update rate? 1Hz, 10Hz, 20Hz? I am not sure about this, but I haven't changed anything about update rate in libgpsd. Please provide your input on above queries. Thanks & Regards, Sharmila On Tuesday 09 July 2019 09:30 PM,

They never have upstreamed anything to gpsd. Last time I looked at the yocto patches they were pretty trivial. When I am using the device at stationary point I am able to get the proper fix, but when the device is moving the fix is lagging we are getting the value of different co-ordinate.I'm guessing you neglected to change the model to your need? Look at dynModel in UBX-CFG-NAV5. What do you count as "moving"? A bicycle, a car, an airplane, a rocket? What sort of lag do you think you see? What update rate? 1Hz, 10Hz, 20Hz? What sort of error? We suspect that the values are buffering somewhere. Could you please comment on this. Whether you are buffering the data anywhere?Buffers all over. I need an idea of what you think you see and what you think you need. RGDS GARY --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gary E.
