Yo All!
FYI:
Some nice folks at NOAA hit me with a clue-bat about magnetic variation
(declination). With that help I was able to add the mag_var()
function to gpsd. It calculates an approximate magnetic variation
from a lot/lon from a 5x5 degree table of variations. In most cases
the variation is 2 degrees or better to actual. This data is now
in the TPV JSON as magvar.
This makes life much easier for users that have magnetic heading
sensors.
