Hi all

Seems the patch that we submitted isn't complete solution - we still see gpsd tcp feed seemingly hanging

Will post further patch if we find a solution, looking at keep alives or somehow monitoring the connection

Best regards

Nick

Hi

Please excuse the direct approach but I'm not familiar with patch
submission.

I posted to users group about reliability problems with gpsd using tcp
feed

Please find the attached patch for 3.22 which one of our guys came up
with - it causes retry of tcp feeds until they reappear, rather than
the current behaviour of discarding the tcp feed.

There may be a problem with the ntp feed after reconnect but we will
live with this ourselves

Maybe it's of interest to the team

Best regards

Nick
