It seems not-good to ship things that are known broken without being up-front about it. (even if the brokenness is only on one version of one distro) I think we should add a note someplace describing the problem and workaround(s) and include a pointer to it in NEWS and mention it in the release message. yada yada... (and explain why it wasn't fixed ...) When I have problems like this, I manually setup a link in /usr/bin/ from python to python3 I saw mention of using PYTHON=xxx in a previous message. Are there other hacks worth mentioning? -- These are my opinions. I hate spam.
