I have a gpsd running on a little T-Link MR3020 box with openwrt.
TCP address on the MR3020 is 192.168.1.1.
I can connect from a ubunto box with telnet to the box on 192.168.1.1 , send
a ?WATCH={"enable":true,"raw:1};
and recieve gps data in raw nmea format.
Even gpsmon 192.168.1.1 connects and receives gps data.
My goal is to log those data, so I tried to use gpspipe, which runs fine on
localhost.
But if I try to connect with gpspipe -r 192.168.1.1 the connection fails.
address@hidden:~/prog/linuxbox3test$ gpspipe -r 192.168.1.1
gpspipe: could not connect to gpsd (null):2947, Unknown error 4294967290(-6)
I killed the gpsd-daemon on localhost before I tried gpspipe -r 192.168.1.1
It was very confusing before, since I got one answer from the gpsd and
nothing more did happen.
After a while I found that the answer came from the gpsd on the localhost ,
not from the MR3020
gpsd version on the 3020 box is 2.94, on the ubuntu box 2.92.
gpxlogger from the 2.94 archive shows the header, but nothing more happens
when I call it with
gpxlogger 192.168.1.1
