Why not run gpsfake with the installed gpsd?

No reason to run old gpsd if you have new gpsd at hand!
Especially that ancient 3.12 version.

If you must, then remember that gpsfake can use the 
GPS_HOME variable to find the copy of gpsd to run.

The regress-driver program runs the local gpsfake in the against the
local gpsd and the local libs.  So gpsd need not be installed at all.
