When I read the word 'troglodyte', I think of the Wren (Troglodytes
troglodytes), a delightful little bird spread over most of the Northern
hemisphere (if you count all the species in the genus: Cactus Wren, Carolina
Wren, ...)

Most Wrens prefer forests with dense, unkept undergrowth, where they run
around like small mice looking for insects and small spiders in cavities and
under mossy branches.

They are quick, extremely lightweight birds, with a susprisingly clear and
strong song.

Would make a great O'Reilly cover, too ;-)
