Hello,
the groff man macros do not seem to have page traps?
I have a problem in (non-GNU) nroff with the sqlite3 man page which uses .cc.
When the page trap is reached errors are occuring. In the troff manual ยง 10.4
it is stated that .cc has to be compatible with macros invoked by traps. That
is not the case for this man page if non-GNU nroff is used. So I would say it
is not a good idea for a portable man page to use .cc?
