Doing

  git log --follow --patch s.tmac | grep NP

returns nothing.  In other words, a `.NP' macro was never implemented
in groff's `s.tmac' file.

Yes.

Try `-ww' to enable all warnings.  More details can be found in the
troff(1) manpage.
