Is that because of the spacing inside the .EQ/@EQ macro

I do not get that problem with -mm. However, my solution screws badly
with the left margin.

Personally, I just use extra '~' in front of the short ID

Here it is:
~~~~~~~~~~~~ doug ~ mark = ~ expression1
malcolmdouglasmcilroy ~ lineup = ~ expression2
