Yes, it's a little unusual for our Texinfo to NOT unload all barrels of
syntax for a request or escape at the reader's face at once.  And
especially since the Auto-increment node is quite a ways off from this
one, I think you make an excellent point.  A forward reference is called
for.

I've pushed commit b0d858377e33ba1914f6aff49042b90e14a6c232 to fix it.
