hi folks,
sorry for using your devl.list for that, but don't have an idea how to get
the answers i'm looking for.

i'm setting up a ataraid on my machine (debian/sid,i386) today and
figured out that grub, which i was using for a while now (and i really
love it) don't work in conjunction with devfs which i'm using for
setting up the ataraid feature.
i figured out that there is a grub2 (feature-list reads really good
fooks) but it didn't worked as well.

what i have done on 2.4.26 kernel with devfs compiled in & mounted to
let my machine boot form hda, (first step to get the atalib-kernel to

 grub-install /dev/hda
and it tells me, that /dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/disc has no
corresponding BIOS disk entry.

updated to grub2 (debian) grub2_0.6+20040502-1_i386.deb
 grub-setup /dev/hda
 grub-setup /dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/disc
in both cases i get the message: Invalid device: ...

got cvs version, which unfortunately doesn't compile:
error msg. below.

is there a chance to still use grub/2 with devfs and ataraid?

TIA & cheers
