Was that written by GRUB? I could not find that string, nor parts of it,
in the source code. WRT your problem, the closest match I could find is
in fs/ntfs.c, around line 819:

if ((data->mft_size > MAX_MFT) || (data->idx_size > MAX_IDX))
    goto fail;

Where MAX_MFT is (1024 >> BLK_SHR) = (1024 >> 9) = 2 (???)
