I think the big issue here is to find the funds required to spend a lot of time 
making the changes required.

If you think it is a big obstacle to have xHCI driver in the GRUB then I think 
it is also good time to rework USB subsystem in the GRUB if it is required. 
This is not a problem for me... I mean I would review and accept the patches if 
somebody would post them here...
