Florian reported an example in [1], quoting:

        my laptop doesn’t boot from USB, I have more CD/Rs than DVD/Rs

>From my point of view, yes this increases is an issue, especially for
the not too distant future.  In the short term, we have to save
resources because in this not too distant future, we will have to do
the same (or more) using less.
