Now what can we, Guix Europe do to help both the GNU and Guix project
moving forward? I think its time for some action. But I think that
collective action is needed which is like an important reason why I am
sending this mail.
Also don't think we just can act alone but it may help if we like to
coordinate things a bit. That is like why I want to have something of
a dialogue about it. Maybe we agree to a Guix Europe meeting before
Guix days? I Am also maybe planning to reach out the GNU project with
similar message where I maybe can point the efforts around running the
Hurd on Guix.
And yeah I have scheduled my Guix Europe 2024 and 2025 membership
payment for next week so .I hope to be a full member again by that
time. I Am sorry for letting it slip as of late. But I do of course
have an eye on the project even if I have not been sending many mails.
Beside Guix to my understanding the core Hurd [1] team seems also to
have been more busy [2]during the last two or so years. Having more
contributors than before. And the core Hurd developers seem to arrange
different stuff like online meetups and "parties" [3] more frequently
as well (do not think they arranged any before). So yeah maybe Guix
and Guix Europe can take some inspiration from that :)

So does anyone have any idea what we can do to help both projects atm?
Do you guys agree or disagree that there is a lot of potential to
improve the projects and what is this might be a critical time for us
to step to some efforts if want long term success for both projects. I
mean I see it like if we don't do it now it might be a lot harder to
do it later becuse of the increasing competition basically.
