FWIW I prefer to just run “autoreconf -vfi”, which is what ‘./bootstrap’
does in Guix.  ‘./bootstrap’ scripts tend to have different semantics
between projects (some run ‘./configure’, some don’t, etc.) so I like to
keep it simple.
