2. Alph XML

There choices were considered as the format for enfilades in RDF: 
XML, RDF, or our own string format (OMA).

- XML: parser exists, integrating w/ XHTML &c
- RDF: can edit directly
- OMA: light-weight parser, concise, speed?
- RDF was rejected because of possible non-local "CVS" conflicts 
  in serialization 
- OMA was rejected because nobody volunteered to write the parser
