Ouch.Ok, since it is also difficult to configure the proxy address in the kioslave (needs recompile) I suggest that we change our approach to backlinks: Make it a startup-time option to the gateway. Then both Netscape and KDE can be trivially made to understand this.
Sounds reasonable?
Anyway, more important that your kioslave now works and file upload works.
