[Health] Use of "Medicine Dispensing" only

I'm new to GNU Health, but not new to Linux and Open Source sofware, so I have question:

If a community clinic wants to use the medicine dispensing function of GNU Health without using all the other functions, is that feasible?  If they have a client record management system, are there way to communicated and/or integrate with GNU Health?

Your comments and suggestions would be much appreciated
