Dear Dr. Falcon,
First of all, thanks for the quick response and thanks for all the work you and your team have done and still doing for the health of all humans.
I guess I was not clear about the problem I am having. I have installed gnu health on one machine and configured the company and institution as well as I have added a user as a health professional. I have install Thalamus on another machine and it is running and accepting request as you can see from the log output below:
2019-05-17 18:44:50 +0000] [1373] [DEBUG] GET /people/balamood
my problem is in setting the parameters for the Thalamus server from the other node. I just need to know how to create these users and passwords that Thalamus would accept?
Also if Thalamus is just a message relay how does it authenticate? what does it compare the credentials to when doing the authentication? right now I have an empty DB on the Thalamus node how does it get populated with user credentials?
Please accept my advanced apologies for asking may be stupid questions.

Dear Bahaa Thank you for reaching out, and for your interest in GNU Health in your country ! I have installed all the packages and they seem to run fine except that I am faced with some problems using Thalamus. they problem I am have is that it is asking for a user name and password in the federation node configuration, were are these user names and passwords are set? how can I add and manage them? Please take a look at the following documentation for Thalamus. Thalamus is the GNU Health Federation Message and Authentication server. It is great when using a distributed environment, with multiple health centers. Introduction to the GNU Health Federation: https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/GNU_Health/GNU_Health_Federation Thalamus: https://en.wikibooks.org/w/index.php?title=GNU_Health/Thalamus and https://pypi.org/project/thalamus/ Technical Guide for the GH Federation https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/GNU_Health/Federation_Technical_Guide Please note that, when using the Federation ecosystem, the GH HMIS is just one more node, that would interact with Thalamus and the GH Health Information and Person Master Index at the Document-oriented DB. If you're starting, it's probably a good idea to get familiar with the GH HMIS, and then move on to more involved scenarios, like the Federation. In anycase, please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Since this is a general question, you can just send it to address@hidden mailing list. The health-dev mailing list is for developers.
