Thanks for offering, but I don't use Emacs to interact with debbugs for
various reasons. Also, I was hoping to impact not just explicit actions
but the results of searches.

Ah well. Since there's no consensus to disable globally, and disabling
per package is neither supported nor without complications, as Michael
pointed out, life goes on. --thanks, karl.
