Yesterday I managed to get X setup under Cygwin, with KDE.
I was very impressed, especially at how easy it was:
1. Install Cygwin.
2. Install X:
http://sources.redhat.com/cygwin/xfree/docs/ug/cygwin-xfree-ug.html
3. Install KDE:
http://kde-cygwin.sourceforge.net/
