License Gawk.exe

Dear Ladies and Gentleman,

can you say me the license from the programming software Gawk? I am a
freetime programmer and I have written a chess tournament organization
program with freebasic! It's open source. Now I will write a new function. I
got from a another programmer a source file in awk to calculate tiebreaks
and my plan is to use this file with my software via awk.exe. That means: My
programm opens the Gawk.exe (awk.exe) and the awk source-file and get the
output from awk. The problem is: I need always the awk.exe in the download
file from my program. Can I use and upload Gawk.exe (it's only the Gawk.exe)
with my program in the web? I think Gawk is in GNU General Public License
version 2.0 (GPLv2)? But, Im not sure. If I need a special license text to
upload Gawk.exe, so it's no problem for me.
