My glibc is 2.2.4, which should be the lastest version of glibc. I've
never heard about 2.4.21 before.

address@hidden:~$ iconv --version
iconv (GNU libc) 2.2.4  

However, the problem which I mentioned before is only a typo, and many
distro already know about this bug. So maybe just upgrade to newest
release or manually correct that bug should be enought.
