Hi,

get the newest GIFT from CVS.

There must be some script exact whose exact name I forget but which is 

bootstrap-cvs.sh

or something to that end (on this computer that I am using for writing this mail I have no current checkout).

Run that script. Before running it install the gnu auto tools (automake, autoconf, aclocal, libtool).

1) Using gift-0.1.14 and gcc-4.2.
